Government Impact Team – July 2022 Primary Election Month

Election Month –

  • 10 polling locations are open already for our Primary Elections in Arizona.   Many more will open on July 22nd and even more open on Election Day August 2nd. Please make your voices heard by voting in the Primaries.  This is our responsibility as Biblical Citizens! The last day to vote is August 2nd, and if you have requested a mail-in ballot – they have been sent out already.
  • Arizona legislature passed a law this past session to allow polling locations to get the tabulation equipment to process ballots on site.  Some sites used to send them off site for processing. Polling Many places should have this equipment – which would allow even folks that have a mail-in ballot to take your ballot in and have it processed while you stand there.  You can stand in line as if to vote, show your ID and have your signature on the mail-in ballot envelope verified.  Then they will have you take the ballot out of the envelope and run it through the machine…all this passing some steps in the process that could avoid having your ballot potentially rejected.

Non-Partisan Voter Guide

  • Leaders across the political spectrum have called the 2022 midterm elections the most consequential midterms in decades. Since primaries often see the closest races—often with relatively few votes deciding the outcome—your participation is vital.
  • Since 1995, the Center for Arizona Policy (CAP) has provided Grand Canyon State voters with information on candidates.  Click HERE to access this nonpartisan 2022 Primary AZ Voter Guide (available in both English and Spanish). You’ll find information on candidates for:
    • U.S. Senate
    • U.S. House of Representatives
    • Arizona Statewide Offices
    • Arizona State Senate and House of Representatives ‘
  • What you won’t find is an endorsement of any candidate or party. Every candidate in the covered races was treated equally and had the same opportunity to respond to the questions.

Our Biblical Citizenship Responsibility is to Be Aware of Candidates

  • While the CAP Voter Guide provides some information on voters it might not provide the details needed to identify the candidates that support the Christian values of Faith, Family and Freedom.
  • The GIT team as well as Precinct Committeemen in your district are available to help you get information on candidates.  They have been meeting the candidates and questioning them live in many forums to become educated on who is really promising to vote for FAITH, FAMILY and FREEDOM should they get elected.  A number of meet the candidates forums are still being conducted throughout this voting month as well so they can help you find those.  For example, Newsmax is hosting a US Senate debate Wednesday 7/13 at 6pm and rebroadcast at 9pm between Jim Lamon, Blake Masters, and Mick McGuire.
  • Should you have any questions on any candidates, the Government Impact Team is here to help.  Feel free to reach out to any of these members of the GIT Team:
    • Elizabeth Cruz
    • Mike Dodson
    • Reid Gottschall
    • Madeleine McDonald
    • Chris Paine

The Power of Prayer

  • Lastly, as Biblical Citizens, we encourage all to please pray for our nation and our leaders during such difficult and challenging times.
